Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who has worked on large digital / online projects, and has a proven history of managing and bringing those projects to successful fruition, on time and within budget.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the project is planned and runs to the plan
• Works with team leaders/management team members to allocate and clarify roles and responsibilities as part of that work plan
• Estimate a budget for the project (with input from other disciplines) and track progress against this estimate
• Have a clear understanding of project scope and use change control to manage scope changes
• Facilitate the smooth running of the project by establishing clear processes and communication channels internally and with the client
• Identify project risks and plan risk mitigation
• Sets up and run meetings which keep the project moving forward
• Co-ordinate and produce all documentation
• Keep team informed of progress, costing, timing and client issues
• Acts as a catalyst for project review and monitoring
• Is a resource for the team to keep project on track, iron out issues, breakdowns in communication etc

Server Side Developer

We are looking for 2 or 3 experienced developers to join our technical team. You will be expected to work either as part of a larger team on major projects, or on smaller projects where you may be asked to take the technical lead working alongside visual design specialists. We work on projects using both Java and .NET, and you will need to always be learning new tools and techniques as well as keep up with industry developments. Whilst experience with these technologies is useful, enthusiasm and an aptitude for learning are particularly important.

Specific technologies and products that would be of benefit:

• Software specification and design
• OO design in Java
• J2EE Libraries
• Web Service design and development
• XML
• Hibernate
• MySQL, MSSQL
• Magnolia CMS and/or JCR
• Struts and / or Tapestry
• XHTML, CSS, JS, AJAX
• Flash / Actionscript

Developers with Microsoft technology experience will also be at an advantage. You will have:

• Excellent knowledge of computing fundamentals
• Very good knowledge of web based technologies and techniques
• A computer science degree or similar qualification
• Good written and verbal skills
• Enthusiasm for technology
• Sense of responsibility for the projects you are working on
• Ability to cope with a number of different projects at the same time
