De Vere Venues
After restructuring the brands within the group, De Vere approached Vexed to create a new Internet presence for the Venues brand, and develop new ecommerce facilities for bedroom booking, event enquiry and meeting room booking.
Case Study: De Vere Venues launch
A tight deadline was set by the De Vere group to re-launch the two major brands under separate identities.
We worked closely with senior members of the De Vere Venues management team to understand their existing business systems and plan out a programme of work on the brand site and redevelop bedroom booking, request for proposal and direct meeting room booking systems.
At the user interface, we have developed templates that embed and content manage Flash and Google mapping functionality to deliver an effective experience to the target audience. Users can now see availability across all properties and for a range of dates at once.
The creative approach delivers a best-of-breed branded venue information and booking site, which furnishes both business and leisure users alike with all the tools and information they need to find, visit, book, and use the venues, whilst differentiating De Vere from its competitors. To this end the distinctive design and styling immediately pinpoints the De Vere point of difference in terms of quality of offering and price / value.
With a wide range of users, each with diverse goals, the site aims to strike the correct balance between delivering essential content and reference material swiftly and easily, encouraging online booking, streamlining the purchase process and cross-selling relevant facilities / activities / etc, while also providing users with an engaging, fresh and fulfilling brand 'experience'.
To date, peak visitor numbers have increase by 50% since the site’s launch re-launch in April 2008. Averaged weekly revenues via the online bedroom booking system have increased by 100% in the same period.
