Vexed and Future Platforms have had a busy year and close 2011 with exciting projects now being worked on across the teams, that we’re keen to talk about.

In the summer Future Platforms spoke at Hacks and Hackers as part of Brighton Digital Festival as well as talking on a panel at the, brilliantly titled, Planet of The Apps.  Our Technical Director and Tom Hume went down to Bletchley Park where the attended the Over The Air event.

More recently we watched Nick Dutch of Domino’s as main feature at Media Pro Expo in November where the company Multi-Media Manager spoke about about the Domino’s Social Story and outlined how Domino’s really have trail-blazed the way into new and exciting uses of social media in projects.

In October  Brand Perfect Tour Future Platform’s Sergio presented in both Berlin and London on “How to Take Your Brand to the Mobile Masses” and Future Platform’s journey getting the Glastonbury App 2011 into the hands of their, subsequently very happy, users. Later that month Tom Humes presented on web apps at the  Online Information Conference, of which you can see his presentation on the Vexed Slideshare.

As December opened we watched Paul Francis present at the e-Metrics Marketing Optimization Summit where Domino’s Head of Commercial Systems presented a brilliant presentation on how Domino’s have consitently upped their conversion rates, including use of Social Media. Looking fowards to next year we have several conferences in the pipeline for current projects as well as Internet Retailing Expo in March 2012 where Jo Stanford of De Vere will be presenting on De Vere’s journey to create a coherent and unified presence while growing customer base through the extensive work we do with them.  In April at Eye For Travel Tom Hume will be joining a panel discussion on web apps and native with Dave Slocombe of Last Minute.com and others.

All in all its been a fantastic and busy year for Vexed Digital and Future Platforms and we look forward to seeing you at future conferences in 2012.  Happy New Year!
